Focus: Taskfolk is a calm, opinionated tracker for teams and their AI agents. It
extends through its REST API, MCP server, webhooks, OAuth apps, and installable
skills rather than a paid plugin store. Estimation is per project (time-based by
default, or Fibonacci story points with points-based velocity), a project can run
several parallel sprints, and cross-project portfolios and goals (OKRs) are built
in. For heavy ITSM (SLA timers, asset management, on-call) or code hosting, pair
Taskfolk with a dedicated tool for that job (Taskfolk links commits from GitHub via

### Authentication

Every API call uses a Bearer token: `Authorization: Bearer <key>`.
API keys are minted in the workspace Developer dashboard (Settings → Developer).
Each key is scoped to one workspace.

### MCP server

Taskfolk ships a first-party MCP server over Streamable HTTP. MCP clients
(Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and others) can read and create issues, list
projects, and search across a workspace in natural language.

### Installable agent skills

Taskfolk can be installed as a ready-made skill inside AI coding agents
(Claude Code, Codex, and others) with a single command from the
Developer dashboard. The skill gives the agent read/write access to
the workspace's issues and projects via natural-language instructions.

### Agentic commerce (ACP + UCP + MPP)

Agents can buy AI credit packs for a workspace through three commerce
protocols backed by the same checkout core:

- **ACP** (Agentic Commerce Protocol): discovery at
  `https://taskfolk.ai/.well-known/acp.json`, REST base `https://taskfolk.ai/api/acp`
  (checkout_sessions create/get/update/complete/cancel).
- **UCP** (Universal Commerce Protocol): profile at
  `https://taskfolk.ai/.well-known/ucp`, REST base `https://taskfolk.ai/api/ucp/v1`
  (checkout-sessions create/get/update(PUT)/complete/cancel, capability
  dev.ucp.shopping.checkout).
- **MPP** (Machine Payments Protocol, HTTP 402): payment discovery at
  `https://taskfolk.ai/openapi.json` (x-payment-info), payable endpoints at
  `https://taskfolk.ai/api/mpp/v1/credits/{small|medium|large|custom}` using a
  WWW-Authenticate Payment challenge and a signed Payment-Receipt.
- **x402** (HTTP 402 USDC payments, https://x402.org): payable resources at
  `https://taskfolk.ai/api` and
  `https://taskfolk.ai/api/x402/credits/{small|medium|large|custom}` (exact
  scheme, USDC). Pay the 402 requirement, retry with X-PAYMENT plus your
  API key in X-Api-Key; settlement returns X-PAYMENT-RESPONSE.

Item catalog: `https://taskfolk.ai/api/acp/catalog`. Purchases require an
API key with the `admin` scope created by a workspace owner or admin;
payment uses the workspace's saved card or a delegated Stripe Shared
Payment Token.

### Webhooks

Workspace owners can register webhook endpoints in the Developer dashboard.
Events: `issue.created`, `issue.updated`, `issue.deleted`,
`comment.created`, `member.added`, `member.removed`.
Each delivery carries `X-Taskfolk-Signature: t=<unix>, v1=<hex>`. To verify:
compute `v1 = HMAC-SHA256(key = SHA256(your-signing-secret), message = "{t}.{raw_body}")`
and constant-time compare to the header (reject if `t` is stale). Note the key
is the SHA-256 hash of your secret, not the raw secret — Taskfolk stores only the
hash, so signing uses it as the HMAC key.
