About the site

AppGoat is an app store intelligence service for AI agents, providing App Store and Google Play data through a REST API and a remote MCP server. Written by AI from the site’s llms.txt and homepage.

Overall AI readiness assessment

How ready appgoat.ai is for AI systems

72/100

AppGoat was independently audited by llmsmap. appgoat.ai currently scores 72/100 for AI readiness. The result combines AI-specific files, crawler policy, sitemap discovery, structured homepage data, and—when available—the mobile Google Lighthouse technical profile.

Audit context

llms.txt is accessible and contains 6,004 tokens. An expanded llms-full.txt is also available with 40,551 tokens, giving agents more direct context. No separate ai.txt policy was detected; it is optional, but can clarify training, retrieval, and attribution preferences.

robots.txt is available. 11 of 11 tracked AI bots are not blocked. Declared sitemaps: 1. No Schema.org type was detected on the homepage. 0 OpenGraph tags were found and markup completeness is 0%, leaving more entity interpretation to crawlers.

The mobile Lighthouse profile adds Performance 70/100, Accessibility 93/100, Best Practices 100/100, SEO 100/100, and experimental Agentic Browsing 67/100. These signals have a limited weight: they complement rather than replace llms.txt, robots.txt, and structured-data checks.

Confirmed strengths

  • Accessible llms.txt
  • Expanded llms-full.txt
  • 1 sitemap declaration

Priority improvements

  1. 1Add JSON-LD for the organisation, website, and core entities.
  2. 2Complete OpenGraph and canonical homepage metadata.
  3. 3Reduce mobile rendering delay and main-thread work.

Agentic Browsing

What these results mean

Mobile performance is 70/100, with the largest visible content block appearing in 5.1 s and the browser main thread blocked for 160 ms. Layout shift was 0.001. The main thread is where the browser runs JavaScript, calculates layout, and paints the page; long work there delays both user input and browser-agent actions.

Accessibility scored 93/100, Best Practices 100/100, and technical SEO 100/100. The experimental Agentic Browsing category scored 67/100. It measures signals Google currently tests for software agents and is shown separately from the llmsmap AI-readiness score.

1

Free the main thread and accelerate the first view

Split long JavaScript tasks, defer non-critical scripts and styles, and shorten blocking request chains. This helps the primary content appear sooner and makes controls usable earlier.

2

Reduce code that loads without helping the page

Remove unused CSS and JavaScript, load heavy widgets on demand, and limit third-party scripts. Less code means less parsing and background work on the device.

3

Make controls unambiguous

Give buttons and links accessible names, associate labels with fields, and use ordered headings and semantic regions. The same structure helps screen readers and software agents understand actions.

4

Improve interface contrast and readability

Increase contrast for text, states, and interactive controls so both people and visual agents can distinguish content from actions and supporting labels.

# AppGoat

> App store intelligence for your AI agent: apps, reviews, metric history, listing changes, keywords, competitors, top charts and developers for the App Store and Google Play. REST API at https://api.appgoat.ai/v1 and a remote MCP server at https://api.appgoat.ai/mcp.

Authenticate with the `x-api-key` header (keys start with `ag_`; the MCP server and examples read `APPGOAT_API_KEY`). `{app}` accepts any App Store id, Play package, bundle id, store URL or name. Every success is `{ data, meta }` with `meta.credits_used` and `meta.credits_remaining`; every error is `{ error: { code, message, hint, docs } }` (read `hint`). Data refreshes from the stores automatically when older than `max_age`. Failed requests are free. The Free plan has 250 credits a month plus a free first App Audit.

## Playbooks

Agent Skills (appgoat/skills, repository private until its public release), also served as MCP prompts and by the `list_playbooks` tool; each playbook page links its SKILL.md.

- [App audit (lite)](https://appgoat.ai/playbooks/app-audit-lite) (`app-audit-lite`, ~25–40 credits per run): Runs a quick App Store / Google Play audit of one app with live AppGoat data – listing quality, ratings trend, recent complaints, keyword rankings, competitors and their recent changes – and ends with a prioritized fix list.
- [Find app ideas](https://appgoat.ai/playbooks/find-app-ideas) (`find-app-ideas`, ~150–250 credits per run): Finds underserved App Store / Google Play niches with live AppGoat data – search demand (keyword popularity) against weak supply (low ratings, abandoned incumbents, few strong apps) – and returns a ranked shortlist of app ideas with evidence and user pain points.
- [ASO keywords → metadata rewrite](https://appgoat.ai/playbooks/aso-keywords-metadata-rewrite) (`aso-keywords-metadata-rewrite`, ~40–80 credits per run): Researches App Store / Google Play keywords for one app with live AppGoat data (current ranks, competitor keyword gaps, popularity, difficulty, relevance) and rewrites the title, subtitle, keyword field and description within the store character limits.
- [Competitor digest](https://appgoat.ai/playbooks/competitor-digest) (`competitor-digest`, ~15–55 credits per run): Writes a weekly competitor digest for one App Store / Google Play app from an AppGoat competitor watch – what each competitor changed (title, subtitle, description, screenshots, icon), price and in-app purchase changes, new versions with release-note summaries, rating and chart moves, keyword gains and losses against the user's app, keyword gaps and review themes – and ends with 3 recommended actions linked to other playbooks. Sets up or reuses the competitor_set watch.
- [Reviews → GitHub issues](https://appgoat.ai/playbooks/reviews-to-github-issues) (`reviews-to-github-issues`, ~2–10 credits per run): Turns recent negative App Store / Google Play reviews into deduplicated GitHub issues – one issue per problem topic, with linked and quoted reviews, new reviews added as comments to the existing issue instead of duplicates. Uses AppGoat review data and the gh CLI (or the GitHub MCP server).
- [Reply to every review](https://appgoat.ai/playbooks/reply-to-every-review) (`reply-to-every-review`, ~1–3 + 1 per posted reply credits per run): Drafts a reply to every unanswered App Store and Google Play review of the user's own app, in the app's voice, through their connected App Store Connect / Play Console account – each reply is a dry run with a before/after diff and AppGoat guardrail scores (policy, tone, claims), and only the replies the user approves are posted.
- [Apple Ads optimizer](https://appgoat.ai/playbooks/apple-ads-optimizer) (`apple-ads-optimizer`, ~5–8 per campaign + 1 per applied change credits per run): Optimizes the user's Apple Ads (Search Ads) campaigns through their connected Apple Ads account – reads the last 14 days of keyword and search term reports, raises bids on keywords that convert under the target CPA (capped +30% per run), lowers or pauses keywords that spend without installs, adds converting search terms as exact keywords and wasteful ones as negatives – every change a dry run with a diff the user approves.
- [Localization push](https://appgoat.ai/playbooks/localization-push) (`localization-push`, ~35–60 per locale + 1 per applied change credits per run): Localizes the user's own App Store / Google Play listing into new languages through their connected App Store Connect or Play Console account – picks target locales from markets with demand, researches the keywords people actually search in each country with AppGoat, writes a localized name, subtitle, keyword field and promotional text (Play title, short and full description) within the store limits, and pushes each locale as a dry run with a before/after diff the user approves.
