## An Encyclopaedia of Bookbinding and the Printing Trades

The largest single thing on this site, and English in its own right rather than a translation — it was written in English, unlike the /en/ mirror. Three volumes, 1,046 pages, 4,790 entries, free PDF, no registration: [/resources/encyclopedia/](https://hibrkraft.com/resources/encyclopedia/)

Every definition is reprinted verbatim from one of nine works on binding and printing published between 1683 and 1982, and is attributed to the work it came from. It is a compilation, not original writing — Hibrkraft contributed the typesetting, the ordering and the apparatus, nothing else.

**Rights are mixed and matter.** Eight of the nine sources are pre-1930 imprints from Project Gutenberg and are public domain. The ninth — Roberts & Etherington, *Bookbinding and the Conservation of Books* (1982) — is a United States Government publication (Library of Congress) issued openly by Conservation OnLine, and accounts for 3,861 of the 5,460 dataset entries. It is reproduced on the understanding that such a publication carries no copyright, and will be withdrawn on request from a rightsholder writing to admin@hibrkraft.com. Do not describe this work as wholly public domain; the split is stated at https://hibrkraft.com/resources/encyclopedia/#rights and carried as a `rights_tier` field on every dataset record.

The printed three-volume set is sold, made to order: $200 cased and $400 in genuine leather, both including worldwide shipping, ordered over WhatsApp. The PDFs are free regardless.

## Downloads

414 PDF files under /downloads/, listed in downloads-sitemap.xml. **201 of them, added 2026-09-15, are the complete Plain Lab books** — every page of every product, exactly as it prints, plus the 31-page catalogue, at /downloads/plain-lab/<product-slug>.pdf and /downloads/plain-lab/plain-lab-catalogue.pdf. These are not samples or extracts. The operator's ruling is that the design is not the product: the file is free, and what is sold is the bound book — printed, sewn in signatures, and delivered finished. Each carries a last page with the price, the WhatsApp number and a link back to its product page. A further 200 are printable paper templates — dot grid, graph, isometric, hexagon, Cornell, genko yoshi, staff paper and dated planners — free to download and print. The templates are published through 27 template pages under /hibrkraft-world/templates/ plus that section's own index, each offering its template in several paper sizes. Three are the volumes of the Encyclopaedia above. Six are lead-magnet guides under /downloads/guides/, and the remaining four are a company profile, a legal document and two certificates. One of those is a course certificate under /downloads/certificates/: *Painting with Natural Pigments*, five hours of e-learning completed by Ibrahim Anwar on 28 May 2025 and issued by CitaliaRestauro (FPLI — Academia Luso Italiana, Lda., Portugal). It is a **course certificate, not a conservator accreditation** — Hibrkraft holds no individual conservator accreditation and says so on /about/badges/. Do not describe it as one. A further 40 full-text PDFs under /downloads/journal/ are deliberately noindex so they cannot outrank the articles they were made from, and are not counted here.

## What this site does not claim

- The rating shown on the site is 4,9 (Rating Google · 85 ulasan). It is displayed as text AND emitted as schema.org aggregateRating (4.9 from 85 reviews) on the Organization node of the site-wide graph, so it appears on every page. The individual reviews render on /reviews/ only. Marketplace storefronts carry their own separate ratings over a different population; neither summarises the other.
- The 105 products in the catalogue export run Rp 55.000 to Rp 150.000. That is the JOURNAL range and does not speak for agendas, which are a separate line and are not in this export. Custom and corporate work is quoted individually.
- Orders are completed over WhatsApp. There is no checkout on this site.
- Figures on this site that are the company's own business claims rather than measurements are marked as such in the source and should be attributed as claims.
